Training & Development

Met-Excel are committed to having a workforce trained to the highest of standards and, along with construction skills, have implemented a far reaching training plan that caters for the individual within the structure of the company, this is updated when new employees start work for us to ensure that all of our operatives have sufficient skills to allow them to carry out their tasks safely and to a high standard.

Met-Excel are 100% compliant with the CITB card system.

Met-Excel are committed to the apprenticeship scheme and as such currently have one apprentice employed and another due to commence employment this summer. We believe that we can improve our workforce through this scheme and ensure that the correct working practices and ethics are instilled in our workforce of the future.

Met-Excel currently have a number of operatives engaged in achieving NVQ accreditation, six at level 2, three at level 3 and two at level 4.

Met-Excel encourages personal development and is always willing to discuss training needs and requirements with our workforce. We currently have four operatives placed at Salford University to improve their English and two operatives on computer courses to improve their IT skills.

Met-Excel is currently looking at training to train courses in a number of specialised fields. Looking forward this should allow us to train our workforce in house and also allow us to offer training on site to operatives of other sub-contractors.
